What is 321?

321 austenitic stainless steel is also known as UNS S32100 / W.Nr. 1.4541 alloy.

Grade 321 stainless steel exhibits good corrosion resistance in organic and inorganic acids at various concentrations and temperatures, especially in oxidizing media.

Meanwhile, Grade 321 stainless steel is also a heat-resistant steel, with better high-temperature resistance than other heat-resistant steels.

Its properties are very similar to those of Grade 304 stainless steel. However, due to the addition of titanium, it offers improved intergranular corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength, and can effectively control the formation of chromium carbides.

This alloy is widely used in the heat exchanger industry, spiral welded pipes, and the marine industry.
