What is 310S?

310S stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with good oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, and acid/alkali resistance.

Grade 310S stainless steel is also known as UNS S31008 / W.Nr. 1.4845 stainless steel.

In addition, it has excellent high-temperature resistance. With a high content of chromium and nickel (i.e., 25Cr-20Ni), 310S steel offers superior creep strength, enabling it to operate continuously at high temperatures up to 1150°C. This heat-resistant steel pipe is specially used in the manufacture of products such as electric heating tubes.
