These self-tapping screws have a coarse thread with twice the thread pitch of standard wood screws, making it easy to drive them into a variety of materials such as chipboard or various densities of fibreboard. They can be easily inserted using ordinary hand screwdrivers or drive bits. As chipboard does not have a natural grain this type of screw fixing is ideal, and the self-centring point helps the screws to start straight and drive true, with less risk of splitting.
